Tuesday, December 8 - There are so many great wine dinners around St. Louis that they all kind of blend together. But Scotch dinners? Not so much - those are always stand out and Newstead Tower Pub will be hosting one this Tuesday, beginning at 7 pm. The dinner will feature four courses, including Scotch eggs and a braised prairie farm grass lamb, along with six different scotches. Cost is $50 per person. Tuesday, December 8 - Sasha's on Shaw will be holding a "Bubbles & Pinot" Wine Tasting on Tuesday from 8 - 10 pm. Winemaker Adam Lee will be on hand to pour Pinot Noir from some of their favorite vineyards and Todd Mathis from Martine's wines will pour delicious Grower's Champagnes you won't find anywhere else. Cost is $45 per person and includes not only the tasting, but also a bottle of single vineyard Pinot Noir from Siduri (your choice).
Tuesday, December 8 - Remy's Wine Bar will be hosting their 3 Course Tuesday Wine Tasting this Tuesday, from 6:30 - 8 pm. The theme of the evening is "European Holiday" and will feature holiday cuisine from around the world. Menu includes a Sopa de Pescado y Mariscos (a Spanish dish of seafood & shellfish soup with rice and saffron) paired with a Burgans Albarino, Rias Baixas, 2007, I Rechhietedde Ch'u Suche Rosse (Italian orecchiette pasta w/ beef, veal, pork, & lamb ragout), paired with Dei Feudi di San Gregorio "Rubrato," Iripinia Aglianico, 2005 and Lebkuchen (chocolate dipped honey spice cakes from Germany) paired with Remy’s house made Gluhwein, a red mulled wine. Tuesday, December 8 - STL Wine Girl and Provisions Market have paired up again and invite you to a magical Winter Holiday Wonderland Wine Dinner. From 6:30 -7:45 this Tuesday, they'll be celebrating Christmas, Hanukkah, and New Years all in one night with a cocktail party meets traditional family dinner event. Thursday, December 10 - Smoking Joe's will be hosting a Bourbon, Blues and BBQ Dinner this Thursday at 7 pm. The menu includes plenty of Jack Daniels - in both beverage form and accompanying each dish. Menu is available to the right (the Gentleman Jack Bread Pudding sounds pretty damn sinful).
